Coffee protects your liver against alcohol-induced cirrhosis

Coffee Shields Your Liver From Alcohol

Among hot beverages, coffee stands out in remarkable ways…

And new health benefits continue to emerge, adding to the list of perks that coffee offers.

New research has found that drinking your daily brew may help protect your liver from alcohol-related cirrhosis...

But this is no license to overindulge!

While a little bit of alcohol may actually be healthy, having one-too many, and particularly hard liquor, could be extremely dangerous to your health…

One clinically established effect of excessive alcohol consumption is the potential for liver cirrhosis–a condition characterized by liver scarring, which can ultimately lead to liver failure.

But coffee can step in to mitigate the debilitating effects.

A recent study has found that 2 cups of coffee per day may reduce one’s risk of alcohol-induced liver cirrhosis by a whopping 43%.

The authors of the new study, published in the journal Alimentary Pharmacology & Therapeutics, wrote:

Coffee comprises over a thousand compounds, many of which are biologically active and may affect human health. These include caffeine, chlorogenic acid, melanoids, and the pentacyclic diterpenes, kahweol, and cafestol…The biological effects of coffee include stimulation of the central nervous system, primarily by caffeine, the attenuation of oxidative stress and inflammation, and anti-carcinogenesis…In the context of liver disease, coffee appears to confer a number of protective effects”.

And while previous research had made associations between coffee and liver protection, the new study went a step further and conducted more large-scale analyses…

The researchers gathered data from 9 previous studies on the subject of coffee and cirrhosis risk, and analyzed the results.

The studies had involved over 430,000 participants, and the analyses of study results showed that one cup of coffee per day correlated with a 22% decrease in the risk of developing alcohol-related cirrhosis.

Two cups were associated with a 43% decrease in risk, and 3 cups added up to a 57% decrease in risk.

Four cups of coffee per day were found to correlate with a staggering 65% decrease in the risk of developing this condition.

The study authors concluded: “This meta-analysis suggests that increasing coffee consumption may substantially reduce the risk of liver cirrhosis”.

This study, however, had some limitations. To begin with, only alcohol-related cirrhosis was analyzed. Instances of liver cirrhosis triggered by other factors such as obesity were not taken into account.

Further research is imperative to investigate whether coffee offers the same protective benefits in non-alcohol-related cases.

Again, the coffee type analyzed was not studied in-depth. So it’s unclear from this study whether one type of coffee, or brewing method may be more beneficial than other types.

And as to why coffee may offer such incredible protection to the liver, the researchers did not quite put a finger on it.

However, they do hypothesize that the antioxidants wealth and density found in coffee, may be a factor due to their massive anti-inflammatory properties.

These research findings do not in any way encourage over-imbibing. But they do give you yet another compelling reason to relish your brew…

And talking of brew…

The healthiest cup of coffee is obviously organic, fair-trade coffee beans…all the while avoiding sugar and artificial creamers.

Black is always outstanding…and if you prefer it sweeter, you can splash some organic creams or organic coconut crystals.

Progression of Liver Disease

Fix Fatty Liver Disease With Egg Yolks…

Fatty Liver Disease, also known as NAFLD–Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease–affects 1 out of every 5 people globally…

And it’s increasingly becoming a major risk factor for liver failure, diabetes, heart attack, and even cancer.

The main characteristic of this menacing disease is an abundance of fat stored in your liver, rendering it dysfunctional…

But what’s even more scaring is that it manifests zero symptoms, and can, therefore, go undiagnosed until it’s too late.

But the good news is there is one vital nutrient that can protect you from this agonizing problem.

The liver is considered “fatty” when more than 5% of it is fat.

KH31HX Healthy and fatty liver, vector illustration (for basic medical education, for clinics & Schools)

Non-alcoholic fatty liver is the initial stage of liver disease, which at this point, is still reversible.

Left untreated, NAFLD can progress to NASH–Non-alcoholic Steatohepatitis. At this point, inflammation and fat begin to damage the liver cells, leading to scarring of the liver and ultimately, liver cirrhosis.

By the time the disease advances to NASH, the liver is no longer functioning optimally.

NASH can be life-threatening, and can mark the onset of liver cancer–an aggressive and difficult-to-treat form of cancer.

The liver is one of the most important organs in your body, carrying out over 500 functions. Some of them include:

  • Production of bile, which carries away waste and breaks down fats
  • Production of proteins for blood plasma
  • Production of cholesterol and special proteins that carry fats
  • Conversion of glucose into glycogen for storage
  • Processing of hemoglobin for iron
  • Conversion of ammonia into urea for excretion
  • Metabolizing drugs and ridding the body of toxins
  • Regulating blood clotting
  • Creating immune factors to fight infections
  • Clearance of byproducts of the red blood cells

When the liver gets overloaded with sugar or starch, it starts making fat, which is the body’s normal response to excess glucose.

High fructose corn syrup, in particular, puts the liver into an overdrive to produce fat

And since high fructose syrup is found in virtually all processed foods and drinks, it’s the primary cause of fatty liver syndrome.

Fatty liver disease triggers a cascade of other health issues, including elevated blood sugar, inflammation, and insulin resistance–all a precursor to obesity and diabetes.

Excess abdominal fat also raises LDL (bad) cholesterol, which combines with excess inflammation to make you vulnerable to increased risks of heart attack.

What’s even more alarming is that no one is being spared!

Children as young as 10 years-old are getting the disease, largely because of overindulging juice, soda and candy from a very tender age.

NAFLD is more common among people who exhibit any of the following health problems or symptoms:

  • Menopausal or post-menopausal women
  • People whose gallbladders have been removed
  • Obesity
  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Prediabetes
  • Metabolic syndrome
  • Hispanic
  • Rapid weight loss
  • High blood pressure
  • Use of corticosteroids and some cancer drugs
  • Low intake of choline–a necessary nutrient

Choline Deficiency and NAFLD

Research shows that choline deficiency, a key nutrient found in egg yolks and beef liver, is one of the key factors that trigger fatty liver disease.

According to Chris Masterjohn, a PhD. holder in nutrition science, choline deficiency actually appears to be an even more significant trigger for fatty liver disease than fructose…

And in his view, the rise in liver fatty condition is largely the result of skimping liver and egg yolks.

When you combine a low choline diet with excessive fructose and starches, you’re almost guaranteed to develop fatty liver disease at some point.

What is Choline?

Choline is a nutrient found in egg yolks, beef liver, legumes, nuts, beef, and leafy greens, among others…

And it’s an essential component of your cell membrane, and is required for the synthesis of phospholipids

Even better, choline helps the body create the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which is important for memory, mood, muscle control, and other brain and nervous system functions.

Moreover, choline works with the metabolism of B-vitamins. It’s also essential for making phosphatidylcholine, which is important to the structure and integrity of your body’s cell walls.

Many people, particularly vegetarians and vegans, are low in choline due to dietary restrictions (egg yolk, liver).

Younger women need less choline from diet than children and adults because the female hormone estrogen helps the body make choline.

After menopause, estrogen levels decline, making it necessary to get choline from diet.

This makes menopausal and post-menopausal women stand a much higher risk of fatty liver disease, particularly when sugar and starch are their key dietary items.

In folate deficient situations, which is a B-vitamin, the need for dietary choline becomes even more profound, as choline is needed to help the body utilize B vitamins.

Symptoms of Fatty Liver Disease

Often, this sneaky disease exhibits very few symptoms, if any. And when it does, they can range from fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, to discomfort in the upper right abdomen.

Left unchecked, fatty liver can progress to serious liver problems, including:

  • Abdominal swelling
  • Enlarged blood vessels
  • Enlarged spleen
  • Red palms
  • Yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice)
  • Mental confusion or dementia

How to Prevent or Reverse Fatty Liver Disease

Changing your diet can play a role in checking NAFLD…

And there are foods that you should completely eliminate from your diet, including:

  • Processed foods, especially any containing added fructose, corn syrup, or high fructose corn syrup
  • Any vegetable seed oils such as soybean oil, canola oil, sunflower oil, corn oil, safflower oil, and cottonseed oil
  • Alcohol
  • Certain medications such as acetaminophen and ibuprofen

LIkewise, there are foods to indulge on a regular basis:

  • Egg yolks
  • Grass-fed liver
  • Organic meats, poultry and fish
  • Beans and peas
  • Liver-boosting foods such as artichokes, arugula, dandelion, turmeric, avocado, garlic, citrus fruits, walnuts, and broccoli
  • Green leafy vegetables that are high in folate

In addition to the liver-healthy diet, supplementing can help the liver flush out fat, while revitalizing and lowering inflammation.

And talking of supplements, there are some that rank higher:

  • Lecithin, which is high in choline
  • A multi-B vitamin with natural folate or methylfolate, Not synthetic folic acid
  • Milk thistle
  • Zinc
  • Selenium
  • Berberine–which lowers blood sugar
  • Whey protein–shown to reduce liver fat by up to 20%
  • Green tea–contains catechins, which decrease liver fat and inflammation

Other supplements like probiotics, resveratrol, curcumin, vitamin E, vitamin C & D may help to naturally revitalize a fatty liver and overall health.

Regular workout also has its place…as it helps you burn off excess glucose, increase insulin sensitivity, and lose weight.

healthy foods for Liver

your diet and liver health

Your liver is critically important to your health…

Working very hard and non-stop to cleanse your body…

And get rid of toxic chemicals and carcinogens…

This process is called detoxification

And the liver is your main detoxifying organ.

You see, our environment is replete with toxins–poisonous substances found in the food we eat, air, water, household cleaning products, and so on.

And we ingest them throughout without knowing it!

This toxic overload keeps your liver working constantly to protect your body against poisoning and keep you in optimal health.

And there are numerous ways to crank up your liver to perform this function optimally…

Including eating more herbs, supplementing, and indulging clean, organic whole foods, and purifying your drinking water, among other things.

So, what’s detoxification?

It’s cleaning and nourishing the body from the inside out. This means eliminating toxins and feeding your body with the right nutrients to restore your health.

To achieve this rather coveted state of health, your diet plays a vital role.

Remember, your liver is the main detoxifying organ…

And it performs over 500 functions in the body, including metabolizing hormones and aiding in digestion.

To keep firing on all cylinders, the liver requires a combination of minerals and vitamins. Key among them are:

  • Vitamins A, B, and C
  • Minerals such as zinc, magnesium, calcium, and selenium
  • Amino acids like Cysteine, methionine, and glutathione

All these help to prevent oxidation from toxins that emanate from heavy metals such as mercury and lead, radiation, auto exhaust smoke, chemicals like pesticides, drugs, and so on.

Turns out, there are certain foods proven to load lots of the nutrients that optimize the health of your liver:

  • Garlic–contains sulfur compounds that are essential for supporting the liver and activating liver enzymes that are responsible for flushing out toxins and waste from your body.

Garlic also contains selenium–an important mineral in the detoxification process, as well as supporting the thyroid glands.

  • Citrus fruits–lemons, limes, oranges, tangerines, and grapefruits are all great sources of vitamin C, and do load potent antioxidants…

And have the ability to boost the production of the liver detoxification enzymes.

  • Broccoli–along with other brassica vegetables such as Brussels sprouts, cabbage and cauliflower, broccoli contains sulfur compounds just like garlic, that help to support the detoxification process and overall liver health.

In fact, these fibrous veggies do flush out toxins from your gut, besides containing compounds that help support the liver in metabolizing hormones.

  • Avocado–this amazing fruit contains glutathione–a powerful antioxidant that helps protect the liver from incoming waste and toxins.

Glutathione also assists the liver in eliminating the toxic chemicals from your body, besides protecting against cellular damage.

  • Green Leafy Vegetables–the bitterer, the better! Your liver loves it bitter. So indulge dandelion, rapini, arugula, mustard greens, and chicory.

These leafy greens contain numerous cleansing compounds and antioxidants that neutralize heavy metals, which can clamp down the liver’s ability to detoxify. They also help to stimulate bile flow.

  • Turmeric–this wonder herb contains a truckload of antioxidants that help repair the liver cells, protect against cellular damage, and assist in detoxification.

Turmeric is particularly great at helping the liver detox heavy metals and assist in hormone metabolism. It also boosts the production of bile as well as improving the health of the gallbladder.

  • Walnuts–they’re rich in l-arginine, glutathione, and omega-3 fatty acids, all of which help to detoxify the liver and support toxin removal.

Even better, walnuts are great in fighting inflammation and supporting your brain health…

And, as you know, inflammation is always the culprit in many health problems that plague humanity. So any food that fights inflammation is worth having on a regular basis.

Now…you know…

The kind of foods you should indulge to keep your liver firing on all cylinders

And they’re easy to find, and generally, pocket-friendly. So you have no reason to let your liver go down south.

Spread the good word for a healthy world.

Thank you so much for your patronage.

Alcohol

Covid-19 Lockdowns and Alcoholism

Nobody saw it coming…

Life was going on as usual…

But all of a sudden, the declaration came…

There was a deadly pandemic in our midst…

Then containment measures followed…

With everything going remote–work, studies, and so on.

We found ourselves confined in lock-downs…

And then the inevitable–boredom, stress, anxiety, idleness

And the first natural reaction is to fix them with the most handy tool at your disposal!

And you started small….and then went on the loose–on a slippery slide…

Happening to life with reckless abandon, or is it life happening to you?

People imbibed…and seriously so!

No doubt…

Alcohol consumption shot through the roof in 2020, and it’s pretty easy to see why.

The pandemic kept us all at home–kids and spouse all at home trying to work and study!

And hey…

Not too difficult to walk a few feet over to the fridge and pull out a can of beer over lunch, or pour yourself a glass or two of wine!

No worries about drunk driving because you’re not driving anyway…

And it’s a whole lot cheaper than ordering drinks in a restaurant…

And no one is immune–it happens to the most disciplined of us…

That slow and steady slippery slide…

And before you know it, the “happy hour” beckons early and continues as long as you want it to.

According to a recent study published in JAMA Network Open, more people than ever used alcohol to cope with career, social, health, and financial uncertainty…

Not to mention stress.

The researchers found that alcohol consumption among adults increased 14% from 2019 to 2020

And women, in particular, exhibited a whopping 41% increase in heavy drinking (4 or more drinks in a 2-hour period) in 2020 over 2019!

And excessive alcohol consumption can take a heavy toll on your health, including liver damage, heart health problems, and cognitive impairment, among other woes.

Even moderate consumption can wreak havoc on hormones, leading to increased estrogen in both men and women.

In men, alcohol will cause testosterone to convert to estrogen, leading to low libido, Erectile Dysfunction, weight gain, man boobs, etc.

In women, alcohol will cause a rise in estrogen, leading to an oversupply of the same–a condition called estrogen dominance…

And this comes with its own share of health problems, including:

  • Heavy periods
  • Weight gain
  • Endometriosis-uterine tissue growing outside of your uterus
  • Depression/anxiety/irritability
  • Low libido
  • Increased risk of breast and endometrial cancer

Excess estrogen also interferes with thyroid function and can slow the thyroid, triggering hypothyroid symptoms.

And for women who are on Hormone Replacement Therapy, alcohol can raise the amount of estrogen in the body up to 300%, while decreasing progesterone-the female sex hormone produced in the ovaries to help regulate your menstrual cycle and maintain your pregnancy.

If you find your Hormone Replacement Therapy not working, or gaining weight, it may have everything to do with alcohol intake.

Not only that…

If you’re dealing with menopausal symptoms, alcohol will worsen your hot flashes and night sweats.

Even worse, alcohol consumption has been shown to increase cortisol production in the body.

Cortisol is the hormone released by the adrenals when you’re stressed–no wonder, it’s called the stress hormone!

Excess cortisol brings along a range of unpleasant side effects, including:

  • Insomnia
  • Stress
  • Food cravings/weight gain
  • Anxiety and depression
  • High blood pressure
  • Poor focus, and…
  • Increase in blood sugar, and insulin resistance

And the negatives are many…

Alcohol also interferes with thyroid function as mentioned earlier, causing a rise in T3, T4, and production of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) . This creates low thyroid reaction (hypo) to alcohol.

Hypothyroid symptoms include:

  • Weight gain and bloating
  • Extreme fatigue
  • Depression
  • Hair loss
  • Impaired thinking, and…
  • Declining libido

And the rampage doesn’t seem to end…

Because alcohol negatively affects melatonin–the sleep hormone, and growth hormone, too.

Alcohol inhibits the release of melatonin…

And because the growth hormone is released during sleep, excessive alcohol consumption inhibits the release of the same.

Human Growth Hormone (HGH) is important for cell regeneration and cell reproduction. It helps to maintain, build, and repair healthy tissue in the brain and other organs.

This hormone can help speed up healing after an injury, and repair muscle tissue after exercise…

Further, it helps build muscle mass, boost metabolism, and burn fat.

It’s also said to benefit the quality of your skin, thereby slowing down the aging process.

Imbibing not only makes you hungrier, but also makes you lose control of what you choose to eat

And before you know it, you’re indulging junk foods–obviously not a great way to observe a healthy diet.

Alcohol adds to depression and anxiety, besides messing up your gut microbiome, which affects everything, including your immune system.

Worse still, drinking makes your skin look pale and sallow

Not to mention the dehydration effect, which deprives your body of vital nutrients–especially vitamins B-1 (thiamin), B-3 (niacin), and folate, as well as zinc and magnesium minerals.

With all the foregoing said, alcohol is not bad in its entirety, provided it’s indulged in moderation–a feat not so easy to achieve!

First, don’t reach out for the wine when the urge comes calling, or as soon as you’re done with work.

Postpone or suppress that urge by doing other equally health-beneficial things…

Like going for a short walk to relax, doing some yoga, playing with the kids, stretching and meditating.

It’s important to replace your drinking with something positive and worthwhile–something you look forward to, or one that makes a positive difference in your life, otherwise, there will be a lacuna in your routine…

Which is a recipe for relapse.

Find a non-alcoholic or low-alcoholic drink. You can mix your sparkling drinking water with kombucha and some lime garnish.

Don’t drink alcohol when you really should be drinking water. Always alternate water and alcohol during your drinking sessions to stay well hydrated.

Learn to sip your drink and enjoy it–don’t guzzle it as if you’re being paid to do so!

And it helps to order a drink that you sip slowly like red wine and vodka on the rocks–anything that’s not sweet.

And most importantly…

Have an accountability partner like a spouse, girlfriend/boyfriend, or simply a good friend.

Let them know you want to cut back on alcohol so they may help you out with it.

It’s best to avoid heavy drinkers because willpower ends up going out the window. It’s not easy to stop when everyone else is drinking.

Be mindful of the people you hang around with!

It’s not overly difficult to cut back on alcohol. It’s a matter of being strict with self and being conscious of the inherent health risks that come with over-imbibing.

And should you find your drinking affecting your family or career…

Don’t hesitate to seek professional help. There’s no squirm in taking back the reins of your life.

Go forth and rock; not get rocked!

I believe this is a very helpful piece to keep to yourself…or what do you think?

Please share widely to help other people just like you to moderate their drinking for a healthier world.

My profound gratitude for your patronage.

Stay tuned…

How Healthy is Your Liver?

<script data-ad-client="ca-pub-3828106578819360" async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>

You remember with nostalgia…

The days you’d look at yourself in the mirror…

Looking more youthful, but can’t quite put a finger on why!

You’re the center of interest…with compliments flying from all corners…

Everyone seemed to have good news…secretly stealing glances…

And smiles from people you’d least expect!

You’re bursting with energy…

The day’s yours to seize…

It’s your moment of glory…

You cleared your chores and tasks like a breeze…

Accomplishing way more beyond your wildest expectations!

Conversations with friends and family were richer, more meaning, and engaging…

You rattled them with your quick wits and sharp memory…

Breathing life and thrill into the chit-chat…

You slept more restfully and woke up excited and ready to take on the day’s challenges.

Does this sound familiar?

This was your life before disease started taking hold of your body!

But, suddenly age caught up…

Then things started to change…going downhill!

And waking up became increasingly difficult…you’d feel groggy and indifferent.

You started avoiding the mirror and didn’t like seeing yourself in photographs…

Pounding up and down the stairs became an uphill task…

You’d feel deflated and energyless…

And slowly becoming a pale shadow of your former self…

Without knowing exactly what’s whacking you!

But, let’s be honest with ourselves…

It’s absolutely normal to age, but we can slow down the aging process without letting senior moments to take hold almost spontaneously…

And even more so, without radical changes in our diets, lifestyles, habits, and so on.

Because there is an easier way to achieve awesome results that many anti-aging experts seem unaware of!

The largest internal organ in your body has been completely overlooked by nearly all nutritionists, dieticians, and “celeb” trainers!

Yet, this organ holds the key to anti-aging secret…

And when it’s diseased, it sends out tiny, little warning signals…

Including…

  • Difficulty in losing weight
  • Random and often uncontrollable sugar cravings
  • Feeling tired and lethargic
  • Trouble sleeping or falling asleep
  • Redness on your palms
  • Having unexplained headaches
  • Having offensive body odor…especially without deodorant.

If you’ve noticed any one of these symptoms, then pay close attention…

Because millions of people globally have Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD).

In the U.S. alone, there are 80 million people with the disease…

Meaning, about 1 in every 3 people have excessive fat in their liver as well as their body.

NAFLD could be an eventual cause of liver cirrhosis, cancer, and increased risk of dying of liver failure.

A healthy liver has over 500 crucial functions.

The liver is critically important for our continued survival. It’s the central detoxifier for the whole body.

It cleans everything your body takes in…

Before sending it to the appropriate places–organs and tissues.

Most importantly, the liver:

  • Filters toxins from your blood
  • Produces digestive enzymes called bile
  • Stores vitamins and minerals
  • Regulates hormones and the immune response
  • Helps clot blood
  • Regulates cholesterol levels
  • Builds proteins for your body

Virtually, anything you eat, drink or absorb through your skin is first taken to the liver through the bloodstream.

The liver then filters and detoxifies any impurities before anything is released back into the system.

So, to get a clean, healthy, optimally functioning body, you need a healthy liver first.

The liver’s health can affect how you feel, how healthy your cells are, your skin, energy, and even your lifespan!

The most common causes of liver damage include:

  • Medications–majority of drugs you choke into your body have long-term side effects. Your doctor will not tell you this due to deeply vested commercial interests in prescription drugs, but beware!
  • Obesity–even though most heavy drinkers develop fatty liver disease, the most common cause of the disease is non-alcoholic fats.

When the liver can’t keep up with the level of fat and sugar in the blood, it stores them as fat…

Which essentially is fatty liver disease, and can lead to cirrhosis, gastrointestinal bleeding, anemia, encephalopathy (abnormal brain function), liver cancer, and eventual liver failure.

  • Popular household chemicals–cleaners, cleansers, disinfectants, and even shampoos and creams are loaded with toxins that damage the liver.

The New York Times published an extensive “whistle-blower” expose stating: “Unlike pharmaceuticals or pesticides, industrial chemicals do not have to be tested before they’re put on the market”.

Things like nonstick pans and other cookware are loaded with a chemical called PFOA.

A study in Taiwan found that liver enzymes–a marker of the organ’s functioning–generally inched up in tandem with PFOA levels, particularly in obese individuals.

Significant elevation of the liver enzymes in the blood can indicate liver inflammation or other damage as seen in diseases like hepatitis and cirrhosis, or scaring of the liver.

  • Pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides are used all over the world on pretty much every kind of plant, especially our food. And if you think you can avoid them by going organic, I’m afraid…

A USDA report from 2011 proved that over half of all certified organic produce had “harmful” levels of pesticides.

The University of California in San Francisco (UCSF)–one of the premier medical schools in the U.S.–found that a shocking 93% of Americans have glyphosate in their body.

  • Micro-plastics are everywhere. There’s an island of plastics floating in the ocean, according to Maria Neira from the World Health Organization.

Micro-plastics contain a toxic chemical called BPA. Texas A & M University Health Sciences Center observes: “Even brief exposure in infancy to several industrial chemicals that are common in the human environment, particularly BPA, caused liver disease”.

Whichever way you look at it, this paints a pretty gloomy picture…

But don’t throw in the towel yet…

Because I’ve got great news for you: The liver is the only human organ that can regenerate!

And Mother Nature is awash with adaptogens used to support liver health:

  • Silymarin–you might already know this “pesky weed”. It frustrates so many landscapers and garden lovers…

And it happens to be one of the most potent detoxifying plants on earth. It’s been used for over 2,000 years by the Greeks.

The Greek physician and botanist Dioscorides wrote thousands of pages on the health benefits of silymarin as early as 40 A.D.

Specifically, he knew the plant’s powerful liver purifying properties…

And today, modern science affirms The Great Dioscorides was right!

After dozens of clinical studies, silymarin holds the first place trophy for liver detoxification because it blocks toxins from entering the liver.

Specifically, when properly extracted from the plant, the active compound Silybin covers the cells’ membranes in the liver, making it more immune to toxic build-up.

So, thanks to this ancient plant, your liver is fortified against the intrusion of ‘foreign invaders” of the extremely toxic modern world out there.

It’s also proven to clean up and clear out liver toxins like BPA plastic.

At this point, you can’t help but feel more comfortable and safe, courtesy of this liver protective shield…

But this is only the beginning…because there’s more…

  • Triphala–which means “three fruits” and it’s considered “medicine of the gods” in India. It’s been trusted by Ayurvedic doctors for over 3,000 years…

And for good reasons…

Legend has it, Acharya Charak, the founding Father of Ayurveda once said: “Once a doctor understands how to properly prescribe triphala, he or she can heal any disease”–Acharya Charak, year 300 B.C.

Sounds like a fairy tale story, right?

But modern clinical study confirms it can help cleanse, clean, and repair our liver.

To silence skeptics, The Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine published a double-blind clinical study, concluding the ancient healing power of Triphala is 100% effective in protecting our liver from toxins.

And because Triphala is such a potent super-herb that protects our liver, it means it also helps balance hormones.

Better yet, clinical studies show Triphala could help lower abdominal fat, shedding that unwanted weight.

A study conducted by The Biological Sciences Department at Birla Institute of Science & Technology revealed everything…

That Triphala purges the liver of toxins, resets hormones, thereby potentially reducing fat around our midsection.

  • Dandelion Root is yet another magical plant in the line-up…it’s been trusted by Russian physicians since the year 900 A.D. to prevent and reverse liver disease.

From the flowers, stems and leaves, all the way down to the roots–every single part of this plant has liver detox powers.

And if you think it’s a pesky weed–far from it!

Dandelion is a miraculous medicine that purges our liver of toxins from pesticides, plastics, and chemicals.

And finally, modern medicine has corroborated the ancient Russian wisdom…

A study published in the Journal of Applied Pharmaceutical Science praised Dandelion Root for its hepatoprotective (liver shielding) properties…and its ability to purge a fatty liver of decades of toxic sludge.

The study confirmed: “Dandelion has been tested against various drugs and chemical-induced chronic liver disease in experimental animals and came out with promising results.

In vitro studies also confirmed the hepatoprotective, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties of dandelion: “Taraxacum officinalis or dandelion appears to be safe and the available evidence on the mechanisms of action appears promising”.

When taken in the correct dosage, along with a proper detox ritual, dandelion is a dynamic liver supporting agent. Keep it handy as one of the weapons against toxic pesticides, plastics, and chemicals.

And now…

The fourth and final fighter in our arsenal against the liver enemies…

Altilix–this wonder plant loads some seriously amazing healing properties…

Ancient Roman Royals and Greeks paid doctors top dollar for this robust liver and gal-bladder purifier.

During the middle ages, wealthy Europeans were more than happy to open their wallets for this strong liver ally…

You might recognize it as Artichoke

And for sure, our ancestors were onto something!

Contemporary science validates the efficacy of Altilix to help prevent and possibly even reverse liver disease.

The findings of this study were published in the Journal of Experimental Toxicology and Pathology

And it explains why the elite class of Rome, Greece, and England would invest a small fortune to add Altilix to their medicine cabinet.

The researchers noted that Altilix blocked down liver toxins from harming the liver, keeping it safe by successfully preventing injury and disease.

Another trial conducted at Molecular Pathology and Ultra-structure Laboratory at Regina Elena Cancer Institute found that Altilix could not only protect the liver from aging and toxic stress…

But it can also help liver cells remove their excess fat–which is essentially helping the body fight and reduce fatty liver disease.

Don’t fall victim to liver disease…especially when it’s so easy to prevent it…

With the 4 super-nutrients blended into a potent formula…

The VitaLiver

Designed to support the body’s natural detoxification process by improving the health of your liver.

Vitaliver is presented in an easy-to-swallow liquid form–it’s as simple as squeezing a drop on your tongue–no clumsy pill, no water needed.

Better yet, Vitaliver is a double absorption formula

Studies show that the body uses up to 98% of liquid extract compared to only about 39-53% of tablets or capsules.

Furthermore, 87% of liquid formulas are absorbed in the first 20-30 seconds of ingestion…

This makes Vitaliver far superior, leaving its rivals right in the dust!
